I just finished an automatic process for deleting inactive accounts from Shmeppy’s database.
If an account hasn’t been accessed in over a year and a half, it will be automatically deleted (with a window of 1 month for undoing the deletion before it becomes permanent). An email is sent to the account holder to let them know.
I’m doing this to make sure the amount of user data in Shmeppy’s database doesn’t get too large and attract data theft. Can’t steal what I don’t have.
