Fog of War levels

Not sure what exactly to call this, but it’s come up several times in sessions I’ve run that I want to have two different types of fog of war:

  1. The current type that hides both terrain (edges/fill) and tokens
  2. A type that only hides tokens

I think it would be nice to have type 2 fog of war for areas the characters have visited (so they know the layout) but can’t currently see (so they shouldn’t be able to see the location of tokens in this space)

I like this idea, similar to the explored vs. fog of war distinction in an RTS. Hiding tokens for enemies that have snuck away/turned invisible/burrowed would be much easier to manage. Currently I drag them into an off-map fog tile and try to remember where they are supposed to be after each turn.
