There’s several unpleasant aspects of working with background images in Shmeppy. I’ve (hopefully) improved one aspect with this release: uploading.
Now when you create an image, the resize popup (that normally appears when you double click an image) will appear with some information about how the upload process is going.
After its done it will also tell you how it detected the column and row counts.
I’ve also done a few other improvements to this popup:
- It will now position itself so that it’s better visible if it opens near the edge of the screen.
- It gives users a hint that there’s an alternate alignment interface available via “Shift + Clicking”. Hopefully this flow will now give users a rough image of how images are aligned in Shmeppy without them having to read the tool’s help text.
- The arrows on the number inputs have much better sizing and alignment now (this also affects the measurement units input).
